Syracuse University Captures 2025 Women’s AAU National Championship


JACKSONVILLE, FL – The Syracuse University Women’s Club Ice Hockey team has made history, claiming the 2025 AAU Women’s National Championship with a thrilling 4-2 victory over the University of Tampa on Sunday, March 9, at the Community First Igloo in Jacksonville, Florida.


Led by standout performances and relentless team effort, the Orange capped off a dominant tournament run with their biggest win of the season. Team captain and forward Leah Landry (#23) earned Tournament MVP honors after notching two assists in the title game, showcasing her leadership and clutch performance on the national stage.


“This team has worked incredibly hard all year, and to finish with a national title is something we’ll never forget,” said Landry following the win. “Every single player contributed to this moment.”


The Syracuse Orange finish the 2024–25 season with a perfect overall record of 20-0-0, going undefeated through regular season play. They continued their dominance in the postseason, finishing the national tournament with a flawless 4-0-0 playoff record, capping an unforgettable year with a national title.


The championship marks a major milestone for Syracuse’s women’s club program, highlighting the growth and competitiveness of AAU collegiate hockey and placing the Orange at the top of the national ranks.
